This is my sturdy brick house.

It has freshly redone hardwood floors and SOLAR PANELS on the roof (for making hot water, which saves on electricity and natural gas).

  1. There are three bedrooms upstairs, a mostly finished basement with a water closet, and two sump pumps so we never flood down there. Click Here for technical details, rooms sizes, and so forth.
  2. The yard is nice, with roses in the front and rasberry plants in the back -- and NO Dandelions! There are trees for shade in the summer, with a patio by the two-car garage.
  3. Our alley is paved, and it has streetlights.
  4. Evanston Plaza, located at the intersection of Dempster & Dodge, is just footsteps away, including: Toys'R'US, Office Depot, Franks Nursery and several others. MacDonalds, Burger King, and Kentucky Fried Chicken are only two blocks away on Dempster.
    In addition, all these are within a mile or two:
    • Main Street Commons on Main Street just east of the Main & McCormick bridge
    • Evanston Center Howard Street just east of the Howard & McCormick bridge
    • Home Depot Oakton Street just east of the Oakton & McCormick bridge
  5. The CTA Evanston #204 Bus Dodge route -- serves Evanston Township High School and the industrial corridor. Runs from the Howard Street station, stops right in front of the house, and then goes past the high school to the Davis Street "EL" and Metra stations (a 15 minutes ride).
  6. Robert Crown Park is one block to the south -- the Robert Crown Community Center (with indoor ice rink) is about two blocks away.
